Horses, flowers, trees, and human faces are some of my favorite things to draw or paint. I like to play with colors and experiment with compositions.

My mother was a professional artist, both teaching art and later working for an advertising agency. I cannot remember a time that I did not want to make art. I continue to take art classes and workshops to refine my skills (a struggle) and experiment with new information (fun!).

Sterling Creatives gives me an artistic community--beyond my classes--to discuss art, show art, and sell art. The members speak the language of line, shape, value, texture, color, and other terms specific to art making. Further the members encourage each other and are an inspiration to be creative.
